Upcoming Roadshows
Fri Feb 20 - Jimmie Vaughan
Advance tickets available
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Jimmie Vaughan began playing guitar as a child. Initially, Vaughan was influenced by both blues and rock & roll. While he was in his teens, he played in a number of garage rock bands, none of which attained any success. At the age of 19, he left Dallas and moved to Austin. For his first few years in Austin, Vaughan played in a variety of blues bar bands. In 1972, he formed his own group, the Storm, which supported many touring blues musicians. (read more)

With a powerful voice and great material, his name has become familiar all across the Lone Star State. Johnny Gimble, the great western swing fiddle player said, "When Michael sings, it hits you right in the gut! The last time I was impressed this way with an upcoming talent was when I first heard Merle Haggard." Come hear this hometown favorite at Mercer Street… (website)

Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash
Mark Stuart & the Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash have released several CDs containing their own original songs, beginning with a six-song EP in 1998.
“We aren't a tribute band,” said founder/front-man Stuart. “We never set out to be a tribute band.” Yet, the 2006 European release of Walk the Line helped the Bastard Sons book a 30-date European tour. In 2006, the band toured Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France, Holland, Belgium, Ireland, Scotland, and England.
Were the Bastard Sons endorsed by the Cash estate?
“We weren't endorsed by the Cash estate,” says Stuart. “We were endorsed by Cash himself...I met him at the House of Blues in Los Angeles in 1998. We were invited to his house in Hendersonville, Tennessee, where we recorded songs for our first record. He told us he would be honored if we were his bastard sons.”  (read more)
